Phew! WHAT a busy two weeks! Not only was there a lot of hubbub at our workplaces, but we added our individual interviews (Bill on the 14th, mine on the 21st) for our homestudy and another adoption training. Each interview was 3-4 hours in length, but was mostly a getting-to-know-you format. We have one more interview scheduled for May 3, which will be together and the final one until after the adoption is complete. The adoption training was a total of 10 hours (3 on Thursday, and 7 on Saturday), but we had already attended a training with
Bethany, our agency, and left early since it would be repeat information.
So, what's left to do?
- final interview I mentioned above
- a little more paperwork to finish for Bethany
- our profile book
Once we complete these things, all that will be left is to WAIT. I'm sure we'll find plenty to do (we still need to get the baby's room ready, we'd like to look into adoption grants to defray costs, and we might try to do a little networking of our own), but I'm not looking forward to the WAIT.
Please keep praying for us, friends! We are nearing the end of the "active" part of adoption - the waiting will be the hardest part!
