So now, we are waiting. Since our books won't arrive for another week, and our social worker has to double check that we gave them everything they need, I figure we'll be "viewable" to birthmothers by the end of the month. {can you see me doing the happy dance? good - I'm a horrible dancer! :D }
So, now a new phase begins in our journey. Please pray for us:
- that the Lord will be honored and glorified through our journey
- that the birthmother will have the peace of Christ as she makes decisions for her baby
- that Bill and I remember to be patient and wait on God's timing, not ours
- we would be wise about what we say to and about the birthmother he has prepared for us
- we would use our time wisely as we prepare for a baby in our home since we have no idea how long we will be waiting for a birthmother match
- financial wisdom as we rely on one income instead of two
- rely on God's strength and not our own
We are so very excited to be at this point in our journey!

My prayer for you continues to be:
Lord, You alone know the depth of the burden Cheri & Bill carry. I can only imagine. I've not come to minimize what You are doing in their lives as they walk this adoption journey. I know You work great things in the midst of trials. Nor am I trying to protect them from what they must face. I want only to support them so they will get through this battle as winners. God, You are our refuge & strength, a very present help in trouble. I pray Cheri & Bill would turn to You for refuge & strength & help. I ask You for grace for them. Strengthen their hearts for this battle and give them patience to wait on You. Build them up so no matter what happens they will be able to stand strong through it. Help them to be always rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer. Give them endurance to run the race and not give up. Help them to remember that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. I pray they will look to Yo to be their refuge until these calamities have passed by. May they learn to wait on You because those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. I pray that they would each find their strength in You and as they cry out to You, You will hear them and save them out of all their troubles. Father, I ask You to protect and strengthen their marriage through this process. Enable each to be Quick to listen, slow to speak , and slow to anger. May their commitment to You and to one another grow stronger and more passionate every day. Help Cheri make the transition to being a stay-at-home-mom smoothly. Amen
